Simplebim 11.0 (14.5.2025)
New Features
- Dataflows for easier automated BIM data wrangling. The tools and Excel templates from older Simplebim versions can be used as steps in the new dataflows.
- New simplified start-up window
- New Trimmer Mode. Previously Simplebim had a dedicated trimmer workspace for deciding which objects and properties are included. Now there is a universal Trimmer Mode and include/exclude decisions can be made in any workspace.
- New Home workspace (previously Trimmer workspace). In the Home workspace it is now possible to show only included objects in the 3D window (Trimmer Mode = Off) and in this case the 3D buckets used for trimming don’t waste screen real-estate.

- Adding and modifying groups
- Including/excluding objects and properties
- Setting and resetting the appearance of objects

Enhancements
- Streamlined ribbon menu
- IFC import options for showing the IFC GUID, the IFC line number and using the original IFC names for properties in the user interface
- User interface reloads reduced when running automation. This gives a better user experience.
- Improved query user interface and logic.
- The Splitter tool can now handle also 2D surfaces (previously only 3D solids), which is often needed in infrastructure models.
- Open and Import of models is unified into one functionality
- Most recently used files list now included also most recently used folders and most recently exported files.
- 3D modelling is moved from the Location Editor workspace to the main ribbon and is accessible from all workspaces.
- IFC export supports exporting a subset of included objects, for example all included walls.
- IFC Merge: Improved support for IFC4.3 facility and facility part objects
- News moved to application footer
