IFC File Double-Click Issue
When you install an upgrade for Simplebim it can sometimes happen that double-clicking on an IFC file in the file system starts the Simplebim installer. In this case importing an IFC file requires administrator rights.
This issue was caused by a fault in the Simplebim installer that tried to register a shortcut into a location that is no longer supported from Windows 10 onward. The issue has been fixed, but unfortunately it still affects all old installation, i.e. upgrading Simplebim with a fixed installer does not fix the issue on your computer.
The fix is to first uninstall Simplebim and then install again using the latest Simplebim installer that you can download from the Simplebim site. Re-installing Simplebim does not affect your license or the settings stored in your user profile, but re-installing does require administrator rights.
