Simplebim 7.2 (19.12.2018)

Enhancements

  • Properties palette: option for isolating property sets added.
  • Table palette: using visibility filters in the Ribbon (hide empty, hide single value and hide unique) no longer override the explicit choices made in the column chooser.Table palette: re-designed column chooser dialog

Bug Fixes

  • Bug fixed in opening some .cube files created with older versions of Simplebim.
  • Table palette: group-by columns can now be also visible in the table when opening a stored layout.
  • Table palette: fixing columns no longer changes the order of columns when opening a stored layout.
  • Workspace layout: some smaller bugs fixed.

Simplebim 7.1 SR1 (1.10.2018)

Bug Fixes

  • Bug fixed in opening model from .cube file. This bug only affected models that have both groups and appearance overrides.

Enhancements

  • Table palette: re-designed column chooser dialog
  • Tree palette: improved display of references that point from other objects to the object that is being examined, for example from wall to the building storey that contains (references) the wall.
  • Excel export: significant performance improvement
  • Units: support added for electric voltage unit
  • Validation: group validation optimizations
  • Performance: performance improvements in importing and exporting IFC, opening models (.cube), splitting models and running tools
    Reporting: improved exception reporting for add-ons
  • Tools: performance and configuration improvements for the Flatten Contained Geometries tool. Now also supports preserving the original geometries (instead of converting to brep)

  • Templates: bug fixed in copying values through a reference, for example [Model].Name (fixes bug introduced in SR4)

Simplebim 7.0 SR4 (15.6.2018)

Enhancements

  • Table palette: Exporting to Excel .xlsx format enabled and set as default. The old .xls format allows only 256 columns and 65 536 rows, the newer .xlsx format 16 384 columns and 1 048 576 rows.
  • Check duplicates tool: performance optimization

  • IFC Import: Bug fixed in importing IFC files that use the IFC4 geometry resource RATIONALBSPLINESURFACEWITHKNOTS
  • Workspace: Bug fixed in storing the extent of tabbed palettes
  • Template: Bug fixed in replacing string values using regular expressions
  • Template: Bug fixed in enriching group properties
  • Template: Template files can again be open in Excel while applying templates from a script (fixes bug introduced in SR3)

Simplebim 7.0 SR3 (20.4.2018)

New Features

  • New Assembly Level Information tool added. This tool adds information about the relationship of an assembly to other assemblies (topmost, middle or leaf)

Enhancements

  • Templates: support added for Regular expression alternation in copying property values
  • Templates: if several templates with the same key are installed, the one with the latest version will be used
  • Workspaces: Accuracy of saved workspace layouts improved
  • IFC import: improved geometry conversion in special cases
  • IFC import: roundtrip support for IfcTimeStamp added
  • Table palette: Support for exporting to .xlsx (Excel 2007) added

Bug Fixes

  • Table palette: bug fixed in persisting layout when the table palette was used as the canvas
  • Table palette: bug fixed when applying a template or running tool while the table palette was showing an ad-hoc collection of objects
  • IFC Import: Bug fixed in importing IFC files with #0 references

Simplebim 7.0 SR2 (20.2.2018)

Enhancements

  • Property Editor: Support for Date, Date Time and Time of Day properties added to the Property Editor palette
  • Excel Export: Configuration added for exporting date and time values as IFC formatted strings to Excel. This configuration can be set when running the Excel export as a tool from a template or script.
  • License: Reporting improved for activating and releasing network licenses
  • Objects Palette: Expanding and collapsing nodes no longer speaks the selection making it more fluent to work with large models.
  • Localization: minor updates to all supported languages

Bug Fixes

  • Bug fixed that caused the IFC export to fail if a group property had only a default value
  • Bug fixed that caused the Model Placement Editor to fail if the pivot point values where explicitly cleared by the user   

Simplebim 7.0 SR1 (30.1.2018)

New Features

  • Viewports added to the 3D palette. With viewports you can visually groups objects and use these selection sets for various purposes. Viewports are saved to the native file format (.cube) and you can easily export each viewport to a separate IFC file.

Enhancements

  • Table palette: identities used in table layout made less sensitive by automatically also adding the IFC identity where applicable
  • Table palette: ‘Hide New Columns’ option added to context menu for controlling how new columns are handled when the layout is loaded
  • Objects palette: enabled adding generic groups into the classification item tree
  • License: improved messages when releasing network license
  • Properties palette: option added for showing only property set and quantity set properties

Bug Fixes

  • Bug fixed in merging models when the merged model had units the base model didn’t have
  • Bug fixed in adding Ungrouped groups in Object palette
  • Bug fixed in importing and displaying the geometry of certain IFC4 geometry types
  • Bug fixed in calculating quantities for opening elements
